
Individual therapy is a joint process in which you work with your psychologist toward a common goal. Individuals can seek therapy for a variety of issues including those that are hard to face alone to specific mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression.

WHAT TO EXPECT……
An initial session will provide you and your psychologist an opportunity to meet and talk in a relaxed environment. Sessions are booked for 60 minutes however you will be with your psychologist for approximately 50 minutes. The remainder of your session is utilised by your psychologist to complete documentation and notes.
The initial session can be quiet guided as your psychologist works through a initial clinical assessment gathering information about your past physical, mental and emotional health before moving onto the current concerns. Once your psychologist has a good understanding of your situation they will work with you to determine the best course of action and psychological intervention.
Finding the right fit is imperative to achieving good outcomes so it’s important you feel comfortable with your psychologists.
